Privacy policy

The law office of Maya Rotenberg and Ben Betesh operates the Institute for Mediation, Dispute Resolution and Arbitration and is responsible for the information it processes through this website. Contact the office about privacy by email or at 18 Raoul Wallenberg Street, Tel Aviv, Israel.

What happens when you contact the office?

The form asks for a first name, one telephone number or email address, and a general subject. A short message is optional. Providing this information is voluntary. The office uses it to understand and answer the enquiry and arrange follow-up. The form requires a name and one way to reply. Reading the site and using its tools do not require a form submission.

A general description is enough. Leave out identity numbers, case documents, medical details, information about children or personal information about the other party.

Who receives the enquiry and how long is it kept?

The website stores the enquiry in an inbox restricted to site administrators and sends a notification to the office mailbox. Hosting and email providers process the information to run the service and deliver messages. Office staff who handle enquiries may also receive forwarded copies.

Records in the website inbox are scheduled for deletion after 30 days in a daily cleanup. This schedule applies to the site inbox. Email correspondence, provider backups and professional records may have different retention periods according to their purpose and the office’s obligations.

WhatsApp, email and external practice

The site’s WhatsApp link opens a draft with the page title and public address. Following the link shares that draft text with WhatsApp. You choose whether to send it to the office. In the downloadable edition, you can explicitly choose to open a prepared enquiry that includes your reply details. Messages sent using your email application also pass through your email provider.

The on-page calculators and practice exercises process your selections in the browser. Following a link to the Hadmaya simulation takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices.

Usage measurement and cookies

Public pages use Google Analytics 4 and Hotjar. These services may set cookies or read browser identifiers and collect page and referrer information, device and browser details, scrolling and clicks. Google’s enhanced measurement may record outbound link addresses, downloads and form interactions. The office uses this information to understand which resources visitors use and where an interaction is difficult.

Depending on the service settings, Hotjar may generate heatmaps and recordings of interactions with a page. The institute’s account has Hotjar’s options to suppress numbers and email addresses enabled. Please keep sensitive information out of free text. The site also measures WhatsApp clicks and a form enquiry accepted by the server. These two custom events do not include the visitor’s name, telephone number, email address, or message. The form also uses a temporary security cookie to prevent automated submissions.

Measurement and communications providers may process information outside Israel. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Blocking the form’s security cookie can prevent submission. The providers explain their own data practices and available controls below.

Access and correction

You may ask to inspect personal information the office holds about you. If the information is incorrect, incomplete, unclear or out of date, you may request correction or deletion under the applicable law. Tell the office what you would like reviewed. We may need to verify your identity before providing information. Please do not send a copy of an identity document with the initial request.
